St. John’s Evangelism board will be distributing roses to the Grand Haven community on Saturday, February 8, from 9:00-10:30am with an attached card announcing our upcoming Lent and Holy Week Services. We’ll meet at the church at 8:30am then hand out roses at Panera Bread, Two Yolks Café, Stan’s Café, and the Morning Star Café. 10 to 12 volunteers are needed. Sign up on the back of your Connect Card or contact Cheryl Thomas for more info at

St. John's Board of Evangelism is collecting eyeglasses for MOST Ministries through February 29. A drop-off box is in the Social Hall for gently used adult-sized glasses, child-sized glasses, over-the counter reading glasses and non-prescription sunglasses. Please put the glasses in a case or Zip-lock bag to help keep them from damage.

A door offering for Military Bible Sticks will be taken after each of our services the weekend of February 15/16. Please prayerfully consider a contribution (which will be matched) to this worthwhile ministry via cash or a check made out to St. John’s Lutheran Church, with Military Biblesticks in the memo area.

Our Savior, Lansing 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Mark your calendars for the third Sunday of every month for the Tuesday Night Men's Bible Study Pancake breakfast beginning at 8:30am.

St. John's School recently finished the second semester and report cards were sent home.

St. John's third and fourth graders recently made winter hats for themselves and to give to others, and they taught Pastor Kurt how to make one, too.

Thank you to all who so generously brought in new toys! This was the first time that St. John's Lutheran Church & School was an official drop-off point for Toys for Tots!!! Over 150 toys were brought in and they were distributed to local children!

Another year of Junior Confirmation Classes is underway. Our confirmation students, along with at least one parent, meet once a week to cover topics such as the 10 commandments, the Sacrament of the Altar, The Lord's Prayer, and what it means to be a member of The Body of Christ.
