April 18, 2021 Worship Service - Third Sunday of Easter

Out of an abundance of caution, the retirement luncheon honoring Patti Kooi has been postponed until Sunday, Sept. 12. You can contact the church or school office for tickets.

The St. John's Youth are holding a flower basket fundraiser on Mother's Day weekend. These beautiful baskets will include sun and partial sun flowers. Baskets cost $20 for one basket, $36 for two, and $45 for three. Baskets will be sold on a first come first serve basis, and they will be available 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 7, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 8.

Every Thursday, we share pictures from our past. While they vary from activities and members to documents and newspaper articles, it gives us a chance to reflect on how we are living, learning and serving together at St. John’s Lutheran Church & School.

Are you or someone you know looking for childcare? We have openings! Email our director, Alyssa, at asturdavant@stjohnsgrandhaven.com.

Now that Lent is over, we are putting flowers back on the Altar each Saturday/Sunday. We have dates open if you would like to sponsor flowers in honor/memory of someone or for a special occasion. The calendar is posted on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Please provide your name, phone number, and reason for the flowers. Payment is $50, and can be made with the envelopes provided by the sign up sheet. Your completed envelope can be dropped in the offering plate during worship. Thank you for supporting the Altar Guild.

The schedule is flexible, training is minimal and fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ is awesome! If you are interested please contact Laura Harvey at 616-842-0260.

Camp Arcadia’s Men's Retreat is Oct. 1-3, and the Women's Retreat is Sept 24-26.

On April 14, our Wednesday morning women’s Bible Study will once again begin meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Social Hall. We encourage you to wear your masks.

All Boards should plan to meet on April 12th, and the Parish Planning Council (PPC) will meet on April 19th.
