Instead of or in addition to “giving something up for Lent” the Board of Evangelism suggests “giving/doing something extra” to show God’s love to those around us.
Theme for this week is: BE KIND TO STRANGERS
Suggestions: give a gift card to a health care worker, janitorial staff, bus driver, give extra in service tips, pay it forward in a drive thru line, send letter/card to someone in the military, let someone go ahead of you in line, give a compliment, hold open a door for someone, pick up trash, or leave quarters at laundromat.
