St. John's Jamaica Construction/Renovation Mission Trip is set for October 19-26, 2019. The LCMS mission team in Jamaica is looking for short-term teams willing to get their hands dirty. After a lot of prayer, worship and discussion about how best to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in Jamaica, the mission team identified a priority to transform the newly purchased Ministry Centre to include a worship space, offices, a parsonage, and short-term mission team accommodations. However, the new building needs some sprucing up.

[These mats are made from plastic grocery bags.] In August, 12 sleep mats were taken to MAP in Muskegon Heights. (They have a Supper House where they feed the community.) Also, 11 mats were given to Community Encompass in Muskegon. (They help the homeless.) Rosie Anderson would like to thank everyone who saves the bags and cuts the bags so these mats can be made and taken to those in need. If you would like to help make these mats, please contact Rosie at randerson@sjlcs.org or contact  the church office at (616) 842-4510.
