Calling all prayer warriors! This year, following our 7 p.m. Good Friday service on Friday, April 2, we will be holding a prayer vigil from 9 p.m. to midnight, and in the morning on Saturday, April 3, at 6-9 a.m. As we prepare for this prayer vigil, anyone willing to spend time in our sanctuary in prayer will be asked to choose a 30-minute time slot for you and/or your family to come into the sanctuary to spend time in prayer. A list of prayer requests will be provided to add to your prayers. Elders will be onsite during the prayer vigil hours, as well.

40 Days for Life is a pro-life effort that consists of 40 days of praying, fasting, and holding a peaceful vigil in front of the abortion facility located at Heritage Clinic for Women at 320 East Fulton Street in Grand Rapids. This is the only free-standing surgical abortion facility still operating in our community. Dozens of area churches have adopted a day of prayer. Our adopted day is Thursday, March 11, to pray at the peaceful vigil. We will meet in the St. John’s Lutheran Church & School parking lot at 10:30 a.m. to gather and carpool. Our vigil is from 12-1 p.m.

God is on the move! He wants His will to be done on this earth as it is in heaven and our prayer is that "on earth as it is in heaven," starts with us! Come join us as we remember that together "Even If" the worst happens we won't lose hope! Some of the speakers include Joni Eareckson Tada, Christy Nockels, and Lauren Chandler. Virtual sessions will be held Friday, March 5, and Saturday, March 6. If you're interested in joining, please email the school office at schooloffice@stjohnsgrandhaven.com.

We are offering in-person worship services at 7 p.m. for all of our midweek Wednesday services.
