Are you looking for a way to volunteer at St. John’s Lutheran Church & School but have a limited amount of time? How about becoming a Scrip seller on Sunday mornings! We have a great team of people currently volunteering an hour and a half of their time to sell scrip between worship services. The schedule is flexible, training is minimal and fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ is awesome! If you are interested please contact Laura Harvey at 616-842-0260.

Social Ministries is kicking off their annual Diaper Drive starting now until Father’s Day. Please place your diaper donations beneath the Social Ministry bulletin board. All donations will be gifted to our local pregnancy center, Positive Options, which is a Christian organization. All sized diapers are appreciated. Thank you!

 

There will be a Voters’ Meeting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 23. This meeting will be to approve the coming year’s budget. Copies of the proposed budget will be made available this week.

In honor of Foster Care Awareness Month, the Evangelism Board is beginning an ongoing clothing drive to aid kids in Foster Care. Each month, we will post the current needs in our community. All donations must be purchased new, with sizes and ages ranging from infant to 18 years old.

During May, we are asking for socks and underwear. Please place donations in the appropriate baskets by the display in the Narthex. Monetary donations are also accepted. All donations will be given to “Kids Belong – The Closet.”
